What Happened: We experienced a hardware failure in one of our core network switches, which resulted in brief connectivity interruptions. While our infrastructure is designed with redundant network connections to prevent service disruptions, the unexpected hardware failure required our routing systems to recalculate network paths, which took approximately 10-20 seconds.
One node experienced a longer interruption due to an additional connectivity issue that affected its ability to quickly restore network service during this event. Customers on this node may have experienced an outage of up to a couple of minutes.
Resolution: Our team immediately identified and replaced the faulty switch to restore full-service stability. We also resolved the connectivity issue on the affected node. All systems are now operating normally with complete redundancy restored.
